First Impressions of a new Student

This is an email we received from one of our Students 3 weeks into the course. We just wanted to share it to inspire other people considering to follow the Ayurvedic path. As you can see from this students experience, it doesn’t take long to reap the benefits from studying this wonderful science.

hi there wonderful people,

hope you are well…and life is good!?

Jason asked us to write a ‘few words’ what we like and not like abut the course.
Well…I like everything…no Love! everything about it.

So were shall I start? First it was a big thing for me to actually do it!
I enrolled, got some money together, got a new (old/great!) car and
actually drive myself to Coolangatta!!! It may sound strange, but this is huge
thing for me! Totally out of my comfort zone. For over a year I was searching
for something…I wanted to learn more about helping people to have a better
healthy life….working at the Healthfood shop was not enough, and selling supplements never
seemed right to me….I much rather wanted to sell them the right food, take them
by the hand and cook for them…change their life and show them a way to have a
better life…(while I still need to learn so much more to life a healthy life for my family
and myself).
I’m so thrilled to learn actually exactly that!!! This might be the reason
why I found my way to Ayurveda College…

I think there is such a big need to help people to get back on track! In an Honest
way and not like some so called healers do…

We learn so much every time we come to Ayurveda College,
and my head spins on the way home…buzzing with new amazing info and stories.
I love how everything is connected and things make totally sense….today I found
myself checking out customers about their Doshas…looking into their eyes, and
wondering what is really wrong with them! Sooner or later I will be able to find that out!!!

Lifestyle changes for myself are important too. .I slowly give up eggs….and meditate
in the early mornings….which is the hardest bit for me…it takes me a long time to wake up
but as soon as my brain is awake it starts buzzing…
I have to learn to shut off all my senses…. I know soon I will!
The proper learning is also new for me….but it is not so much learning, it is so much fun
to hear all these interesting new things…Jason is like an endless sea of knowledge and I’m so
grateful to learn from him…thank you so much for that!

Also I love the cooking!!!!! If there would be anything I miss, then it would be the recipes
for all these wonderful dishes…

I could write much more, but I might leave it for now…

thanks for the wonderful time I had so far, and I’m looking forward to all the time that is yet to come!

warm regards from the mountain
sabine
